Student Feedback
“Whitney is not just a kind person, but a magnificent teacher. She is so in tune with the fact that people learn differently, she gears her class to all types of learning. She creates a safe space for people to develop their skills and express themselves through tap. If you have the opportunity to work with Whitney…do it. You will be better for it!” -SF
“What differentiates Whitney... is that her class is truly collaborative, especially towards the higher levels of tap. Though she does emphasize curriculum on the roots of the artform and the variant styles stemming from tap’s blueprint, she also used her classes as a laboratory for creative expression. Her classes also had a heavy emphasis on improv and collaborative activities where we built off of the phrases our peers- developing our vocabulary of movement as well as our own individual style.” -MM
“This class pushed me, challenged me, and gave me room to discover what kind of tap dancer I want to become. I am so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to tap with such an amazing group and get such helpful, individualized feedback from the most INCREDIBLE TEACHER!!” -HP
“I’m truly grateful for the experiences tap class has given me. I find that I am a more self- assured dancer in general. From the technique segments to the improv circles, I was stretched and molded into a stronger and more confident performer. These lessons will be carried on during every dance class, recitals, and audition…” -GW
